hello, i have just installed arch linux, got it set up with e16 and the programs i want, but when i installed the flashplugin package, i started getting errors from all flash sites. YouTube told me "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video."
Alright, so i downloaded the .deb file from adobes site, used deb2targz, extracted it, and merged the usr files with the ones on my system.
after a reboot, i get the same error.
does anyone know how to fix this?

why not simply use flashplugin from [extra] if you are on 32 bit OS OR [multilib] -- if you are using a 64 bit OS ?
Also, our wiki is quite excellent. Have a look at it : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Flash#Flash_Player
and welcome to the forums.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Maybe try installing ttf-ms-fonts from the AUR like the wiki says, if you don't have it already.

that didnt do the trick either.
I decided to reinstall flashplugin, and then i noticed a warning that said "warning: directory permissions differ on usr/lib/mozilla. filesystem: 700 package: 755."
should i just try to chmod /usr/lib/mozilla, and then reinstall Flash?
EDIT: Yep, i just ran sudo chmod 755 /usr/lib/mozilla, and reinstalled flash. Works well
