flashplugin & chinese characters

Hi,

  I've been using flashplugin (10.0.32.18-1.1), and there are quite a few sites here in Taiwan that uses Chinese characters in Flash (not surprisingly). The only problem is, that currently only a handful of characters are shown, most of them are displayed as a blank space....

  Been looking around and similar problem seemed to have came up in earlier Ubuntu versions, where it was (kinda) fixed with poking around in /etc/fonts/conf.avail/49-sansserif.conf and replacing

<edit name="family" mode="append_last">
<string>sans-serif</string>
</edit>

with

<edit name="family" mode="append_last">
<string>sans</string>
</edit>

or sometime suggested as

<edit name="family" mode="append_last">
<string>sans serif</string>
</edit>

Neither of these seems to work. Anybody has experience how to fix this?

That didn't work for me, either. My problem got fixed by installing some fonts by
yum install cjkuni-*
I use Fedora 13.

windandrain, the thread is almost 2 years old, so I am sure the op is probably not looking for the answer....but  then again some one else might benefit from the solution
