UMS device won't get proper driver

Just bought a cheap MP3-player; supposed to work as a generic USB mass storage device when plugged in. However: it won't show up in /dev/ or in the output of "fdisk -l". My machine seems to treat it like some sort of touchscreen device. Is there any way of forcing a certain driver on it, or am I doing something else wrong?

Some output:

lsusb -t

/: Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ohci_hcd/3p, 12M
/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ohci_hcd/3p, 12M
    |__ Port 2: Dev 2, If 0, Class=HID, Driver=usbhid, 1.5M
/: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci_hcd/8p, 480M
    |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
        |__ Port 1: Dev 7, If 0, Class=stor., Driver=usbtouchscreen, 480M

You're absolutely right. I should have done my searching better, sorry. My device has the same Vendor Id and Product Id as that fellows in that thread, so it seems to be very much related.
