You might have problems with Virtualbox 4.0.4 and a guest using xorg-server 1.10: to make it short, no more X at reboot.
To solve this before next Virtualbox update, just use this pre-version to rebuild the guest additions:
http://www.virtualbox.org/download/test … r70636.iso
It worked perfectly for me.

Yes this worked for me eventually. The rebuild shows up as 'guest additions v4.0.5'
I noticed that others using 'bleeding edge' distro's were having the same problem.

Still doesn't fix 3d acceleration though, so compositing window managers like KWin or Emerald will not work.
Not sure why it was migrated from [testing], when there is still so little compatibility.

Thanks for the heads up !
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

I'm running into this issue as well (this guy?) but that pre-version didn't solve it for me...
Maybe I misunderstood your post, but all I did was download that image and follow the instructions on the wiki, but I still get the same errors. I also tried a `pacman -Sc; pacman -Suy virtualbox-guest-modules;` and even `/etc/rc.d/rc.vboxadd setup` for good measure, but to no avail...
I'm not on [testing], pacman -Qi on virtualbox-guest-moduels and xorg-server show versions 4.0.4-4 and 1.10.0.902-1, respectively.
Is this a different issue or did I do something wrong?

You might want to follow the GPL version now and add rc.vboxadd in your DAEMONS. Restarting the VM after that worked for me.
