gnome3 network

the other day i installed gnome 3 from the testing repo. now my network won't work. Im not sure what the problem could possible be, since it used to work and all... has anyone else had this problem? some insight on how to solve it would be appreciated. thanks.

Did you try the forums this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=116629 explains how to install the network manager.
Make sure you get the network manager using
pacman -S networkmanager network-manager-applet

then go into /etc/rc.conf with nano or some other text editor and add networkmanager to your daemons list. Make sure that it is after dbus though as it requires dbus to run. Also make sure you have no other networking daemons such as for netcfg present.

Arch is the reason I stopped downloading different distro ISO's, burning cd's and repartitioning my computer to the point I had 6 versions of linux on. Now I still have to reinstall I just have one CD and keep the partition scheme.

My bad.

I got it to work, somehow my two NIC's got mixed up (eth1 became eth0) so i had to make changes in the configs... I have no idea how that happened though.
