Did poulsbo die to anyone?

This morning I rebooted my netbook, and I discovered that the driver of my gma500 (xorg-x11-drv-psb from AUR) doesn't work anymore. Probably in these days I upgraded one or more times the system, before this morning's reboot.
Another strange thing: for the first time two-finger scrolling is enabled in my touchpad. It never worked and now it works without any additional c.onfiguration... maybe I made a kernel update?
Anyway, this is the error:

Re: Did poulsbo die to anyone?

yes, poulsbo die in each kernel update. And AUR package don't compile.
I guess it compile if downgrade kernel, kernel headers and xorg headers.

qbit, please use code tags as opposed to quote tags. The code tags provide nice scrollers which help in keeping the thread to a decent length.

I have edited your post for you this time.

Re: Did poulsbo die to anyone?

unless you cleared your cache, you previously installed packages should still be under /var/cache/pacman/pkg

I already checked into package cache directory, i found old version of kernel and kernel headers, but there is only last version of xorg-server (11/04/2011 is the date, 1.10.0.902 is the version), I don't know why... and probably the package that causes the problem is xorg (last version of kernel was upgraded at 30/03, and i'm almost sure that I rebooted many times without problems).
P.S. I know that my english is not perfect, sorry for that!

I needed packages of xorg, and not kernel, but thanks a lot, because in that site i found at "extra" section what i was looking for!
Now I downgraded and things work, I hope that the problem will be completely solved as soon as possible...

Re: Did poulsbo die to anyone?

Maybe I am lucky. I just installed arch and had never even heard of poulsbo. win7 was on here.
Installed from livecd and ran the update and followed the steps and I get

_ScrnInfoRec has no member named pixmapPrivate

when building xorg-x11-drv-psb

I may just start over and install from livecd but not do an update but I don't know where it will
take me. I had tried chakra and graphics worked but was slow even though it "looked" fine.

Re: Did poulsbo die to anyone?

Calling it “dead” implies it was ever really alive in the first place. The Poulsbo driver has always been second‐class on Unix.

I would stick to vesa and look into a new laptop / graphics card. I don’t see the driver situation improving anytime soon.
