My system crashed and I want reinstal it. I have 4 partitions on my HDD
/boot
/root
/home
swap
I want reinstal /root only, need /home stay without changes. How to do it safety?

Backup your /home just to be on the safe side. But /home will not be touched by the reinstall.

at installation don't choose to format that partition, and you'll have just to specify the file system. i recommend cleaning the "trash" in your home directory before re-installing, eg. .local,.cache,.gimp2,gnome2,.kde4,etc. sometimes is better to start with defaults.

as others have mentioned that don't choose to format, but you will still need to mount it correctly to the /home mount point or another /home will be created under root.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !
