Latest releng ISO's

Ok i really didn't know where or even if i should post this but i just wanted to thanks the releng devs for their work.
I had some problems in the past but the latest releases really seem to shape up nicely.
The latest 2011.05.12 ISO especially  (found @: http://releng.archlinux.org/isos/ ) installs perfectly without a single glitch on me.

Now i know that one guy running a standard setup with success doesn't say much, but i encourage more people to try them since a "final" version doesn't look far in my eyes. smile

Re: Latest releng ISO's

The link includes a trailing ')' which makes the HTTP request fail.

I think these images should be mentioned on the Arch downloads page as in official installers. There is hardly a way for newcomers to learn about them.

Not quite because they are not official installers. The reason for recent problems is because pacman was updated which required changes in the pacman database. This leads to a few additional steps when updating the system during install.

Having said that, a new iso with the latest release of pacman is in the works and will be available on the downloads page once completed and tested.

Those are testing isos, which aren't meant for newcomers.

anyone can use the isos, newcomer or not. as long as you're aware these are testing builds.
and feedback is very appreciated, in fact is a must. not enough feedback == no new official release. (thanks freestyler for the feedback)
i cannot put any information about these images on the download page because that would cause too much traffic.
