I've been struggling with this for a while now.
/etc/exports:
/myth 192.168.1.13(rw,fsid=0,async,no_subtree_check)
/myth/downloads 192.168.1.13(ro,async,no_subtree_check)On the client (192.168.1.13) I get the following:
$ sudo mount -a
mount.nfs4: access denied by server while mounting yivo:/mythI am getting the following error on the server:
$ sudo /etc/rc.d/nfs-server restart
:: Stopping rpc.mountd daemon [FAIL]
:: Mounting nfsd filesystem [DONE]
:: Exporting all directories [DONE]
:: Starting rpc.nfsd daemon [FAIL]I have no idea what is causing the last error. There are no error messages relating to rpc in messages.log.
I can start rpc.nfsd with debugging and it seems to run fine:
$ rpc.nfsd -d
rpc.nfsd: Checking netconfig for visible protocols.
rpc.nfsd: Enabling inet udp.
rpc.nfsd: Enabling inet tcp.
rpc.nfsd: Enabling inet6 udp.
rpc.nfsd: Enabling inet6 tcp.
rpc.nfsd: knfsd is currently upBut the connection is still refused.

I'm also having this problem. Exactly the same! I had a setup that has been working with no problems for the last year until I ran -Syu a few days ago. Now I get exactly the same as you. You recently update as well? Have you made any head way?
EDIT:
I got mine fixed. During boot I saw the error message:
/usr/sbin/rpc.mountd: bad version number: 1
I edited line 21 of /etc/conf.d/nfs-server.conf to read
MOUNTD_OPTS="--no-nfs-version 2"
I then restarted my computer and now it mounts again. Don't know if this will help but it might.

No such luck for me. I had just run -Syu when it broke, but I've tried rolling back nfs-utils and nfsidmap packages but to no avail. rpcbind package was not update, so the problem does not lie there. I'm not getting any such error messages, so I really don't know where to go from here. What is more strange is that it is not happening on my other systems: nfs-server and rpc.nfsd starts fine on both of them.

This also worked for me, a full reboot was required, restarting nfs-common and nfs-server wasn't sufficient.
