Samba share looks to be downloading a lot for nothing.

Hi...

I have noticed that my network interface (in my case wireless) is downloading at about 2.5mb/s, but I can't work out what for.

I have a samba share mounted at boot, which is all working fine. But when I use iptraf, it's telling me that port 445 (which according to the internet is "SMB over IP") is what is using the bandwidth.

Now, if I am not transferring and files, and the system is at idle, what could it be downloading?

The only thing I can think of is kde is doing some indexing for searches, and this will calm down after a while.

It is looking at over 500gb of stuff that is stored on my other computer, so maybe that's it. Any thoughts?
