Hello,
acording to http://www.archlinux.org/news/deprecation-of-net-tools/ net-tools is deprecated. There are alternatives mentioned for some of the contained tools, but what is about the rest? e.g. ifconfig?
Can/should net-tools be removed? Any packages that should be installed instead?

Instead of 'ifconfig -a' now you do 'ip addr'. It should be already in the wiki.
At least for now you may want to keep net-tools if you need 'hostname'.
