Hello Guys,
i am new to arch, i use Openbox as standalone desktop, couldn't get compiz to work as a standalone desktop, any idea ?
also i use xcompmgr with conky, i searched the forums i got them to work together but conky doesn't appear full like if my options are to show the date " 15 june 2011" i only see a part of 15 and can't see any of the others.
my main question is how to make my tint2 look exactly like dark panels in gnome2 (like ubuntu 10.10 for example), you know all the other fancy indicators, volume indicator, msgs indicator ... they look pretty neat.
i have some tint2 themes but they suck, and i am not that good with colors and everything.
thx in advance

Increase the minimum_size and/or maximum_width variable in conky
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Thx ! changing the minimum_size to 900 900 made the trick
any way to have two or more conky files working together without the glitch ?

I use two with one aligned top right and the other top left. Then use a bash script to call the files.

When you do this just make sure each Conky file has a unique name, preferably something simple but descriptive. You should check out the Conky configs thread for some examples.
