Struggling to setup LXDM, any pointers?[solved]

I installed it with Pacman, i have version 0.3.0.1. I put the required "x:5:respawn:/usr/sbin/lxdm >& /dev/null" line in /etc/inittab, below the example lines in there.
When I reboot, it still goes to tty1 login prompt.

This is my first time manually setting up an arch that is going to be in X most of the time, and this is all I can find in the Wiki in the way of instructions.
Please help!

did you change the default runlevel from 3 to 5?

When asking for help, its best you provide all the information. Including your inittab in this case would have been helpful.
