Network client authentication

Hi Fellas,

I've been trying to figure this out for a while, but I haven't really gotten anywhere with it.

I'd like to authenticate my laptop to some kind of remote authentication server, it doesn't actually matter which one -- whatever can be relatively easily made to work (client side) -- but the catch is it this is a laptop, and thus won't always have direct access to the authentication server.

I can setup a server for ldap, kerberos, samba pdc, whatever.. but Archlinux doesn't seem to have any support at all for caching credentials (ie, sssd), not even in AUR.

Has anyone else looked into this?

Cheers
SD

Re: Network client authentication

Creating a package is relatively easy, so I think you should just try it to see how far you'll get. sssd doesn't seem to difficult to install, so creating a PKGBUILD should not be to hard. If you encounter any problems, post them here so we can help you out smile
