modem-manager and mobile broadband problem

Hello!
I've been trying to get my mobile broadband to work for hours now, without success. I've been using my mobile broadband (although it was another model) on Arch before, but that was about a year ago (I can't really remember all the packages I need to use). I first tried usb_modeswitch without success, but then I found modem-manager but it doesn't work at all.
My current problem is modem-manager which complains about not finding a symbol.

modem-manager: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libdbus-glib-1.so.2: undefined symbol: g_dbus_is_name

What could cause this problem?

That's quite difficult without access to internet.
