Mediaserver/Router

I'm the prowd owner of a Asrock ION 330, which i use for mediaserver and wifi-n router. for the last 1-2 year(s) its been running perfectly as such.

However lastweek I had harddrive failure losing whatever setup i had, and now i can't rebuild the router part. I used a compination of iptables/hostapd/dnsmasq to make it work before, but now it doesnt want to play ball. the furthest i got was to make hostapd create the network, but i couldnt connect to it. (couldnt get the ipaddress and yes dnsmasq was running)

I looked in the wiki "router/software accesspoint/sharing a PPP connection" but can't make anyof them work, propally because of the new way to setup network, but i'm all out of ideas

i have reverted back to a pure arch installation, so if anyone have an idea for setup i'll try see if i can make it work

Re: Mediaserver/Router

okay i found the error, it's simply becaurse wlan0 doesnt get the IP address, a simple "ifconfig wlan0 10.0.0.1" solves the problem.

as i said i'm not the best friend with the new way of setting up network, anyone knows how i make that command run automatically ?
