I'm trying to install Arch on a spare laptop, but when I get to the part where I have to select which mirrors to use I find the spacebar won't select anything. Instead the spacebar acts just like the tab button.
I'm using a netinstall image that I downloaded earlier today and the spacebar behaves normally in the terminal. I have also tried using a USB keyboard but nothing changed. Both keyboards are US Qwerty layouts.

I can't remember that part of the installation (it's been a while), but maybe try hitting enter instead? If not, you should be able to just use the default one to get it installed and then edit /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist afterwards.

As I recall, I used the up/down arrows to scroll to the bottom of the mirror list and then back up to ...Server ftp://ftp locke...
I then pressed enter to select that mirror for the install.
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!

I was able to get through the installation with just the defaults selected.
Thank you for the replies.

If I remember correctly, there is no part where you select mirros. Maybe you're thinking that the mirror (no 's') selection screen is meant to select multiple?
In any case, please add "[Solved]" to the title of this thread by editing your original post.

Yes, jac, I think that's what happened. I've gone through installations before but I must have gotten confused since it was my first netinstall.
