Hi,
I'm sharings a printer (Canon MP610) through CUPS.
The printer is directly connected to the Mac server (USB) and the protocols are CUPS and dnssd.
The printer is found on the Mac clients without further configuration (through dnssd).
In the CUPS web interface of the Linux client, I can see the remote printer in the Printers tab.
But when I try to add the remote printer through the Administration tab, nothing appears after "Discovered Network Printers:".
I'm certainly missing something obvious...
Thanks.

Are you running Avahi?

I tried to launch avahi-daemon with
sudo rc.d start avahi-daemonBut it fails.
So I did
sudo grep avahi /var/log/everything.logAnd the problem is : "Failed to find group 'avahi'."
Can I add the group manually in /etc/group ?

I'd say yes, but I'm puzzled why it is not there in the first place -- perhaps you have used a group.pacnew since Avahi was installed.
BTW, did you follow the article on Avahi in the Wiki? There is a bit of manual configuration required, but, when it is all working, you should have a system that plays nicely with Apple's Bonjour.

Yes I may have dumped that line during a wild yaourt -C session ^_^

Yes, I've seen that I might need to launch the daemon through rc.local.
Thanks.
