I am trying to install Arch from the fresh 2011 install media.
I am a big fan of netinstall, but when I am checking my usual wlan0 interface using iwconfig - it is NOT recognized, (nor any other wireless interfaces).
I own a laptop with Broadcom 4313 wireless card, so my driver IS part of the Linux Kernel for some time now.
Now, I learned that "bcma module can prevent some cards from showing up, and may need to be blacklisted."
Source: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Br … 2Fbrcmfmac
So, I am not sure if there is ANY way of blacklisting module (not loading module) in live install environment, or if core image is my only option.
(I much prefer netinstall)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Manually unload all relevant modules (bcma, brcmsmac, possibly others), then manually load brcmsmac. See what dmesg has to say.
Alternatively, use a wired connection for the install and then try to get wireless going after the installation.

Know issue. there are a couple of suggestions in bug report. (Not to imply they will work for you)

PLEASE read and try to FIX/FILE BUGS instead of assuming other have/will.

That worked!
Thanks!
