after syslinux charged, the charging hangs forever with black screen b4 achieve gdm...
same in fallback mode...
got syslinux/btrfs,gnomo3, and now i'm writing from other HD(ubuntu) i need to know if it is recoverable or not ...
if not i'm quiting Arch(sad)

when starts 'udev' hangs! my card is Intel and i think with intel's driver i'd like to use vesa instead if it is possible...

When you're logged on your Ubuntu, can you chroot into your Arch install? If you could provide some logs this way, someone could have a look and hopefully understand the problem. For the moment, your problem is quite vague.

Does that mean you removed the HD with Arch from your box and replaced it with another HD with Ubuntu? If so, can't you have both HDs in the box? You could use chroot this way no?
Edit: Or live CD as Karol suggested, probably the easiest way

Selective DVD reader? Your DVD drive has nothing to do with what HD is in there. Ubuntu should have the ability to read dvds out of the box.

yep! btw the drive where is Buntu is ide(works fine fine) and the hd with arch is Sata(problematic) running on HP dc7100sff...what else do u need to know?
edit:let me do a try with slitaz usb if i can mount arch...

I'm not an expert at all in the booting process (still a beginner...), but I guess you'll get more answers if you can provide some logs, for instance:
/var/log/dmesg.log
/var/log/boot
