Did you install Crypt::DH from the Arch User Repository?

Edit: For more information check AUR and makepkg.

Re: Irssi Error

I'd recommend creating a separate directory in your home folder for packages from AUR (i.e. ~/aur).

You opened the archive as root so the directory created from that (i.e. Crypt-DH-0.06) has those same permissions. As root do the following:

[root@localhost]# chown -R hackum:users Crypt-DH-0.06

And then build the package as a normal user (i.e. hackum):

[hackum@localhost]# cd Crypt-DH-0.06
[hackum@localhost]# makepkg

Re: Irssi Error

Please go back and read the links to AUR and makepkg that filam kindly provided.

Without that basic knowledge, you will continue to struggle and there is little benefit for you or the community in you blindly stumbling around attempting to do something that it incredibly well documented...

Re: Irssi Error

hackum,
you are obviously missing some very basic knowledge. At least try to understand the Arch User Repository wiki. If you do and there are questions left come back and ask to the point.

Hackum,
I get the impression your first language may be Portuguese.  Unfortunately, am an English only speaker -- and these forums are primarily in English.

Re: Irssi Error

Hello hackum, I'm sorry but I am closing this thread. Here are my reasons,

  • Arch Linux is intended for advanced users. Your comments above suggest you are not familiar with basic GNU/Linux concepts.

  • Arch Linux users are expected to be able to read and understand the documentation provided (in the wiki, man pages, various articles scattered across the web). You say you are unable to understand them.

  • Arch Linux users are expected to take responsibility for their own systems. This is written in the The Arch Way. You should be able to do research, experiment and generally find solutions to simple problems on your own.

  • Your failure to respond to suggested solutions are in violation of the forum rules.

In my opinion there is a language barrier between you and us. Please follow ewaller's advice and seek assistance on a forum catering to a language your are better with. Thank you for your cooperation.
