Erlang Package Upgrade

I was thinking since the erlang package is out of date and no one is going to upgrade it, i could upgrade it. And advice/best practices for upgrading packages?

Re: Erlang Package Upgrade

It's still in the repos, so you can provide a PKGBUILD but not literally update it.

You can also have a look at the current PKGBUILD http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/ … ges/erlang

Just to add to what karol posted - no, you wouldn't be allowed to create a package for [extra] smile

Re: Erlang Package Upgrade

Posting an updated and confirmed to be working PKGBUILD to the arch-general mailing list might get a friendly dev to do the update in [extra] for you...
