I have been thinking on that by a long time, and I think it is a good idea to create a meta-thread to provide links for each TWM's thread, even because some TWM's cannot be searched on the built-in Search function e.g. i3, which is answered with "is not a valid keyword", and some other TWM's which have zillions of threads, many of them asking the same questions e.g. awesome.
Also, this thread may serve as a thread for non-orthodox TWMs, which may not have its own threads, which would greatly make beginner's lives easier. I hope this thread becomes a Sticky in the future.
Remember hearing the PS in the end to avoid confusion!
And always search the forums and wiki articles so not to be told to RTFW or STFW. And read karol's tip on the second post.
Anyway, still more links:
** Main threads **
** Config Files / Hacks Sharing **
* dzen & xmobar hacking thread
* Show off your dwm configuration!
* dwm hackers, unite! Share or request patches here!
* Share your ratpoison experience!
** Artwork **
* Share your awesome (wm) desktop!
PS: TWM is an abbreviation (Tiling Window Manager) that I used for convenience. Do not be confused with TWM (Tom's Window Manager)
Feel free to post more links! Just make sure the thread is not listed here. Any suggestions will be added above, as karol suggested. Thank you, and I am sure the newbies will thank you too! :-)

Yeah, I know. I wanted to show newbies how they can search the forum for things they need ;-)
BTW, cool idea about this meta-thread.

The dwm thread
DWM Hackers Unite! Share (or request) dwm patches.
Perhaps you should edit your original post and append these new TWM links as they come in...

Wouldn't this be better as an Arch Wiki entry?

@dmz I know, I was a TWM (Tom's Window Manager) for a while, I just abbreviated it for convenience. Just added an explanation in the main post.
@wintervenom;@jasonwryan Maybe, but I would like to mantain this page here in the forums too (it will be good if it becomes a Sticky). Also, I do not have the needed privileges (at least I think). I think it is better to wait until the thread is a little bigger, then we think in writing a wiki article, by the way. But, as I stated, I want to keep this page, it will be very good here if it becomes a Sticky.

The categories are good. So is Wintervenom's suggestion about creating a page on the wiki with all the links that you get.
Offline
@valium : you really are pushing for this to become a sticky aren't you?
But I agree with Wintervenom. A wiki article would be much appropriate as you can point to all the individual tiling managers wiki pages. Reading a wiki article is much better, IMHO, than having to browse through 30 odd pages of a thread -- not even knowing whether the solution will be available at the end of the exercise. Wiki lets you quickly go thru the index and you immediately know if the information is there or not.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

@Inxsible: Yes, I am crazy to transform this into a Sticky
And, yes, I agree with him too, but I think it is more visible to keep a thread (or Sticky) with main threads and, in the top, a link to the possible main Wiki page. But I still think we should wait a little, until this thread becomes slightly longer and with more links, to avoid creating a stub (mehatesstubs). Anyway, I think that a wiki page would be a GREAT idea, but I still want my Sticky ! Just kidding, but a Sticky would be really visible, if you consider that we are in the Desktop Envirovment forums, and many people just do not know about TWMs
Also, I would feel very proud of myself, since I cannot make good docs (I would tell them to STFW) nor code atm, as I would be helping a great number of people. That makes me feel great. Help the Archlinux community inspires me, even if that is a really selfish reason.
BTW, I think this is gonna be great, and fun, and really helpful.
Anyone wants to create the article?

I've added all this to the Tiling Window Managers Comparison page of the wiki as I think it is a useful resource for people comparing the different tilers:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Com … w_Managers
(Plus If anyone disagrees with the placement and wants to move it, it is a simple cut & paste now...)
