pm-suspend works, pm-hibernate does not @_@

Hi,

Everytime I try to put my system to hibernate it fails to save memory state. The result when I turn it on again is a replay of logs telling me drives were not unmounted correctly and a boot into a fresh system as if i had just pulled the plug on the thing putting it into a cold reboot.

pm-suspend wors perfectly however.

I have tried following the advice in this post with no avail https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=54652

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

maybe my config helps:

$  cat /etc/pm/config.d/vars.conf
SLEEP_MODULE=uswsusp

my kernel boot line looks like this:

kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/3f0b7664-5266-41f7-b43d-d2014aee1db4 resume=/dev/disk/by-uuid/aabf9ab7-ce2c-4d1e-9975-3157ee1352bd video=VGA-1:1680x1050

where the partition parameter for resume is my swap drive (make sure your ram size fits in it).

and finally, the mkinitcpio hook

HOOKS="base udev pata scsi sata keymap uresume filesystems"

I'm assuming you've followed the instructions via the pm-utils wiki and added the necessary resume line to your kernel boot parameters:
