Good Afternoon,
I post here, but I am no Arch Noob, but my question may be a little dumb.
Lets say for example, VLC, currently @ 1.1.18-2. There was a release called 1.1.8-1.
I am interested in reviewing a "changelog" to see what was modified/fixed/ammended between release "-1" and release "-2". I use vlc ponly as an example. It could be any package that is "core" to my machine.
I don't know where to vinf this information. I've looked....But knowing the robustness of our community...I'm likely looking in the wrong place and ask for your indulgence if this is a less than intelligent question.
Sincerely and respectfuly,
Dave

Are you looking for more than the -Qc option?

Yes. I am looking for more information.
In the case of the VLC example (which is used only as an example)....The -Qc options informs me that there is no changelog.
Thank You!

But if the packager has not included the changelog, then it would be mighty hard to get it via pacman. In that case, your best bet would be to look up the changelog upstream.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Or look it up on SVN. We try to be reasonably verbose in commit messages.

Thank you for all who replied. It seems that there usually aren't changelogs in arch packages.... AKA VLC 1.1.8-1 vs 1.1.8-2.
I can live with that. I was curious.
As far as package revisions aka our example of VLC, 1.1.7 vs 1.1.8, I do already go upstream for information.
Thanks again for the responses!
