Deadbeef Infobar Plugin

Hi, there.

I know, that there are a lot of DeadBeeF's users in archlinux community, so I decided to post a message about a new plugin for this great audio player.
This plugin allows you to view lyrics for the current playing song and biography of the current artist.

Main features:

Dependencies:

  • gtk2

  • libxml2

  • deadbeef(requires version 0.5.0 or higher)

The cache is stored in the following directories:
~/.cache/deadbeef/lyrics
~/.cache/deadbeef/bio

Re: Deadbeef Infobar Plugin

Try building a PKGBUILD and putting it up in AUR. I am sure you will get a lot more users that way.

In any case, I will try this out tonight and see how it works.

I've just added link to the PKGBUILD. I'm not a maintainer of this PKGBUILD, but still, it should works.

Re: Deadbeef Infobar Plugin

Thanks I installed it. It works for some of the regional songs that I listen to, but not all. Nonetheless, its a pretty neat little plugin.

Re: Deadbeef Infobar Plugin

Inxsible, LyricWiki support added, so you might re-install the plugin, maybe there are more lyrics there.

give this an option to store the lyrics in LYRICS tags and its perfect smile

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.
