Destination Host Unreachable

I installed Archbang onto a new laptop (Dell XPS 15z)

After the install wireless networking is fine.
pacman -Syy
pacman -Syu
The box gets a wireless dhcp lease from the AP but can't do anything usefull.
The box can ping itself but that's all.

The packages installed were  bzip2, e2fsprogs, gnutls, gpm, grub, iproute2, linux, lirc-utils
I tried booting to the fallback kernel, same result.  I installed the previous version of iproute2, same result.

I even reinstalled, as soon as I update the system wireless networking is fubar.

Wired networking seems to be okay.

I've had a topic going on the archbang forums and there hasn't been any help.  http://bbs.archbang.org/viewtopic.php?id=1623

Has anybody else overcome this problem?
