I am trying to get sound to work over HDMI.
I have read
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI#HDMI_Audio
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=124130
I added the 'radeon.audio=1' after the kernel line.

I normally had to use catalyst to get audio but I read that the open source driver supported it now. Not sure what is wrong help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Nope, it's not yet supported in the open driver. Kernel 3.3 has HDMI support for Evergreen (HD5xxx) cards, but you have a Northern Islands (HD6xxx) card.

So my only option is catalyst. I know it's not supported but is there a reliable one to install to get audio?
