Re: Gnome 3.4 installation

that's cause you are using the fallback mode. Search the forums to see how to fix it. One possibility could be your display drivers

He could be talking about Bumblebee, but I doubt this is the case.

Re: Gnome 3.4 installation

Uninstall nouveau and try again. If you want to utilize the Nvidia card (after you get Gnome working properly), look into this:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bumblebee

Edit: Also read this topic. For this specific issue, your Xorg.0.log (and any other information on your setup that you feel is relevant) would give us a better idea of what your X server is doing.

Re: Gnome 3.4 installation

Hi

First - use BBC code when you are posting such a long logs
Second - do you start your session through startx or by gdm or other display manager.

Re: Gnome 3.4 installation

Use code tags please for that log. He's asking whether you use GDM or startx/.xinitrc. For glxinfo you need mesa-demos.

I really recommend to read the gnome wiki. There you will find out how to setup correctly ~/.xinitrc.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: Gnome 3.4 installation

Seems you don't respond to requests either. wonder has been asking you for logs which you haven't provided. I asked you to read the forum rules, but you blatantly avoid following the rules about consecutive posting.

I am inclined to close this thread if your next post doesn't show relevant information with respect to the issue here.

How clearer do you want us to get?
