Question about firewall and dmz

Hello mates,

I don't know if I should put my computer in a dmz because it look more secure than my very old and basic router (~2007)

What object would be more secure in the DMZ?  Where is it currently?  From what would it be more secure?

No.

The DMZ puts your machine on the wrong side of the firewall and exposes it to direct attack from the public internet.
