How you can run Compiz for Openbox???? о_О

He's not.  He's running compiz-fusion alone, but likened it to running openbox with fancy effects.  They're both window managers, so they can't be run together, it's one or the other.

Thanks for the clarification. Can you post link for me? I mean link to how-to. Thanks again )

If you think of MS-DOS as mono, and Windows as stereo,
then Linux is Dolby Digital and all the music is free...

B. I've noticed a lot of you guys are on lighter DE/WM is that because your computer isn't up to specs or you don't want to enter bloatville?

In my case i just love minimalism, i feel it confortably to use and not distracting, and is easy on the eyes to watch my color conbination for example, with no wallpaper below a transparent terminal, i dont use icons or graphics in my interface, i find it more easy to just type what i want in dmenu, than searching an entire clutter menu with apps i dont care about at the moment

Hi! Yeah it seems like you and several other users likes to keep the whole screen as minimal as possible, which is similar to what i'm trying to do. But alas openbox+compiz is a no go, for me compiz is a vital thing for me tongue

Nice desktop you have there!

@mythos

Greenfish, I like fluxbox/pekwm because I love the window grouping and the improved handling. It works so much better on my old smaller backup monitor (my default fried out... so sad)... than KDE4.2 did. However I still like KDE3mod and 4.2 mod.. just wish i could have window grouping with it, and a batter monitor to have it set up how I liked it.

ah I see, sorry to hear about your monitor, but thank god they are a LOT cheaper to buy today than say 5-10 years ago. I love KDE as well, but there's still a LOT of bugs in KDE 4.2 and amarok is behaving like ******

Thanks for your opinions guys, much appreciated cool

I hope you're still not planning on running StumpWM smile
OpenBSD will be particularly hard to get the lisp packages on.
But OpenBSD is fantastic nonetheless. Have fun!
