Multi link network

Hi, I am wondering, I have found a WLAN card in my drawer, so is there a possibility to connect my laptop by two wlan cards, hence boosting the network speed? I do have a Debian server on my home network, which is also my gateway, so it could be done via some sort of VPN or something? Just an idea... - I've got Intel ProWireless 2200bg integrated (well actually mini-PCI) card and Edimax EW-7108PCG PCMCIA Card. Both work quite good in my arch. Any ideas guys? Thanks

Re: Multi link network

but won't there be conflict with device's two IPs? I want it to act as one device with one IP and I doubt anything will allow me to set two same IPs on two cards...

Sounds like this is sort of what you're after.  Replace the Red Hat discrepancies with Arch and away you go!

Re: Multi link network

Would that really make a difference if the cards are right next to each other?

Uh... this is totally incorrect. They might both connect to the network, but the routing configuration means only 1 will ever be used.

You need to use 'bonding' as posted by sharpie, although I've never heard of it being done with wireless cards. I don't see any reason it wouldn't would, but it could be a PITA to get it going.
