How to install PPP.2.4.4-60x86_64.pkg package

Hello everyone. I will install in my Arch Linux 2008.06 x86_64 operating system my ADSL modem and exactly it's Sagem F@st 800 USB, but I haven't in my system the PPP package installed and I don't know how can I install it. I tried with ' pacman -A ppp-2.4.4-x86_64.pkg ' but there appeared some errors and now I don't what can  do else. Please help me! I have also an another problem with my internet connection. I don't know if I must configure something else or only must I install the package PPP and the modem and everything will be good? For every kind of help I thank everyone very much. Regerds and goodbye.
