http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O … &SB=v&SO=d

and all this stuff is for old DOS game Doom1/Doom2, and AFAIR artwork for these games is not free neihter

No, not my boss. It's the rest of the lab I want to fry in oil :-D

@Jacek Poplawski: Those are the shareware packages. They leave it to you to add your own .wad. See the recent discussion about...

Ah, what the heck. There already IS a doom3 aur package :-D But I'm looking forward to a Doom3 launcher that supports widescreen.

Re: doom3 will be open sourced

I just mean that it doesn't matter. The code is important, not the artwork.

Re: doom3 will be open sourced

I made a source package for doom3, but unfortunately I cannot use physically (only ssh) the machine where I have the pk4 files.
Can anyone try it?

Re: doom3 will be open sourced

Yes, it is sadly true. The real issue is that the code assumes sizeof(int) == sizeof(void*). All those int must be changed to long int.
There are few secondary problems like a function in assembly or some calls that are ambiguous in x86_64, but as far as I can tell it is nothing serious.

Edit:
I tried the package and it works well to me. I hope Slash decides to update the doom3 package and use it.
