Hi,
i'm new in linux, and I see in many logs in the /var/log directory the error about the send mail
/USR/SBIN/CROND[5475]: (CRON) EXEC FAILED (/usr/sbin/sendmail): No such file or directory
what is exactly? that linux cannot send email when an error occur?
how can I get linux to send email to me when an error occur with the error details?
Is there any sendmail package?

You can install sendmail or e.g. mailx and make it imitate sendmail or maybe you can tell cron not to send e-mails.
[karol@black ~]$ pkgfile /usr/sbin/sendmail
community/courier-mta
community/esmtp
community/exim
extra/postfix
extra/ssmtp
I have no idea what are the differences between these packages, but they all should provide sendmail.
I'm using heirloom-mailx.

For a desktop PC, ssmtp is great: (EDIT: It's in the official repos)
Otherwise, I recommend postfix.

Why are you pointing OP to ArchHurd? Did I miss something?

Whoops, my bad... Google "aur <pkgname>" usually gives me the right domain first
ssmtp is in the official Arch Linux repos

In this instant sendmail is not package, but only utility for send messages by cron. This one always present in all listed packages. For desktop ssmtp enough.

If it's just a desktop, use ssmtp.

If it's just a desktop, use ssmtp.
Desktop ==> SSMTP
Server ==> postfix
