I got a Sager NP8130 laptop that has a JMicron JMC250 gigabit ethernet adapter in it and have just installed 64-bit arch. From everything i've read, the "jme" module is supposed to work with this adapter. My system loads it, lsmod | grep jme shows it listed, and "ifconfig eth0" shows that the link is up. However, the LEDs on the adapter and on the switch it's connected to never light up and DHCP just times out. Any ideas on getting this working? I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue because Win7 x64 works with it absolutely fine - I've transferred a ton of data over it while I've been in Windows.

Have you tried this?
ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off
Googling shows that this card/driver still has some issues in Linux (fairly new by the looks)

I forgot that I actually have tried that, it did not help.
