no audio

Hi all,

I have been having a problem with audio on my laptop ever since I re-imaged it (about 2 weeks ago).  Prior to re-imaging, audio worked fine, so I suspect somehow or other a configuration is incorrect.

I have pulseaudio and looked here:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=141396
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=141642

The latter appears to be closer to my problem in that when I do pavucontrol, I only see my dlna output source and no actual hardware card.  When I run alsamixer, I do of course see it there and the master channel (along with the other channels) are unmuted.  I am in the audio group.

What else should I try next, what other information do you need?

Re: no audio

Hi all,

It appears it is working today.  I went into pavucontrol as I did before; however, I selected Built-in Analog stereo for music I was listening to and voila I had sound.  I'm not quite sure why it didn't work before and I still have to play around with it more.
