Re: Donate after milestone posts...

I've donated a lot of time: 3876 threads with nothing more than "+1", 972 threads of "I'm going with B on this one. Locked", and 152 identical (copy and paste) threads on how to break your entire multimedia setup using nothing but FFmpeg from subversion. I also gave money before. I'm one of the names on the list that isn't "skottish".

*** Another long winded version of +1 completed ***

Well I bought Mastermind from Dusty's Schwag, so I hope that's a good enough donation for my milestone. smile

Re: Donate after milestone posts...

As a student, money is definitely one of the things that I do not have any extra of. I would love to contribute any way I could, but I think maybe people who do not have coding ability would love to know of ways to contribute, especially since my 100th post could be coming up.

Re: Donate after milestone posts...

Non money and coding ways to contribute:
- Help someone on the forums/irc
- Update/create a wiki page
- Try replicating bugs in the bug tracker and search for a solution

Re: Donate after milestone posts...

200 is admittedly quite a modest milestone, but one nonetheless...

Need to keep an eye on my posting rate (currently 1.37192120363 which doesn't seem all that high).

Ding!

From the donate page:

None of us are paid for our work, and we don't have the personal funds to sustain server costs ourselves.

That seems pretty clear...

Re: Donate after milestone posts...

Hmm... 300 posts could maybe coincide with the time for my next salary. That definitely means I should donate.

Re: Donate after milestone posts...

seriously, I wanted to donate a little money after the 2012.07.15 release, cause I love it.

My problem is the payment-methods, only credit-cards and they want you to fill out full names and address.

Cant you provide bitcoin or at least something like paypal?

Good sentiment, but there's been discussion on this before (and not in this topic), you could find those threads and read the explanations posted (kinda fuzzy in my memory, sorry).
