I just installed cmake which installs cmake-gui.
cmake-gui depends on qt5. If qt5 is not installed the following error occurs when trying to run 'cmake-gui':
archlinux% cmake-gui
cmake-gui: error while loading shared libraries: libQt5Widgets.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

open up a bug report. Devs aren't likely to see random forum posts.
However, as per https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/cmake/
cmake doesn't install cmake-gui. Its optional. https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit … ages/cmake
and qt5-base must have been installed since its in the makedepends array.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

There's no bug here, qt5 is already an optional dependency:
> pacman -Qi cmake
...
Optional Deps : qt5-base: cmake-gui
