Hello all,
VLC was working flawlessly, had sound, could open multiple videos at one time, no issue..
Performed a pacman -Syyu last night, VLC upgraded, and now I can only open 1 video at a time, and that video has static for audio.
I downgraded to VLC 2.0.5-2, and now VLC won't play ANY videos, I get this:
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "WMA2". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

I tried this post:

I'm not sure where to go to get VLC back to where I can play video.

went through the alsa troubleshooting guide in the wiki, and no help. disabled pulseaudio via the troubleshooting section, no help check alsamixer, and ran a sound test, and that passes with flying colors.
Anyone else experience static in VLC?
I am also running Cinnamon, if that makes a difference.

There seem to be a couple problems with latest VLC, e.g. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33833
I had a couple problems, including the unkown format WMA2 when downgrading only VLC.
To fix the problem for now downgrades to
ffmpeg-1:1.0.1-1
vlc-2.0.5-2
x264-20121113-1
should do the trick.

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33915 proposes that vlc-stable-git has a fix for it..
