wlan deauthenticates due to reason 2 after miscellaneous time

Hello,
I am running

Linux archer 3.9.7-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jun 20 22:45:32 CEST 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux

and am experiencing a strange problem with my wlan connection: after some amount of time (ranging from 2 minutes to 5 hours) it just stops working. This means that any pings (e.g. to 8.8.8.8) will simply stop outputting text and no webpages will load anymore. However, my i3bar still shows a working wlan connection.
My journal does not output anything during the crash, but after waiting for aroung 15 minutes I get:

Jul 07 19:55:06 archer kernel: wlan0: deauthenticated from xxx (Reason: 2)
Jul 07 19:55:06 archer kernel: cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain
Jul 07 19:55:06 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: carrier lost
Jul 07 19:55:08 archer kernel: wlan0: authenticate with xxx

Jul 07 19:55:08 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: rebinding lease of 192.168.2.101
Jul 07 19:55:10 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: acknowledged 192.168.2.101 from 192.168.2.1
Jul 07 19:55:10 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: checking for 192.168.2.101
Jul 07 19:55:12 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: sending IPv6 Router Solicitation
Jul 07 19:55:15 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: leased 192.168.2.101 for infinity
Jul 07 19:55:16 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: sending IPv6 Router Solicitation
Jul 07 19:55:20 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: sending IPv6 Router Solicitation
Jul 07 19:55:20 archer dhcpcd[22815]: wlan0: no IPv6 Routers available

The connection is fine afterwards and all pings resume outputting stuff, etc.

Reason 2 corresponds to "Previous authentication no longer valid".
192.168.2.101 is my IP adress and 192.168.2.1 the router's one.
"xxx" is the bssid.

Some more information (inspired by me):
wireless driver chipset:

04:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)

I connect to the network using netcfg.
I own the router! (problem occurs when connecting directly to the wlan from my telekom router [Speedport W700V] and also if I bridge over to another one running openWRT and connect to its wlan).
It's WPA2!
And I have no idea (right now) how to obtain the router logs.

I already looked through this site, but did not find any real helpful advice.
Does anyone have an idea what might lead to this weird behaviour? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Greetings,
kpj

Re: wlan deauthenticates due to reason 2 after miscellaneous time

Is the client machine using DHCP? If so do you know how long the DHCP lease is for?

If you mean how the connection is established, then yes, it's done with DHCP.
The DHCP lease is for infinity (I should maybe change that ;-) ).
