Is netcfg redundant after installing network manager?

Hi,
I'm on a fully update Arch-x86-64/KDE system.
So far I've connected to my wired network using dhcpcd.
Now I've installed Network Manager.
Is netcfg, or any other service redundant?, If Y, how can I disable it during boot?

Thanks

Miki Badt

-----------copy of terminal------------

# systemctl list-unit-files | grep net
net-auto-wired.service disabled
net-auto-wireless.service disabled
net-profiles.service disabled
netcfg.service disabled
netcfg@.service enabled
netfs.service masked
network-online.target static
network.target static

Best regards,

netcfg is redundant as well as deprecated. Disable it using the usual systemd service disabling mechanism.

Netcfg was replaced by netctl a while ago, so the fact that you are still using it is curious.

Your question is answered on the Network Manager and other related wiki pages. They tell you what is required to run Network Manager, and how to install (and thus uninstall) other packages/services. Please make at least some effort to answer your own questions before posting on the forum. It appears that you have been warned about this before.
