Update 1.5.1

Changelog

* The script no more uses templates to create metadata file .INSTALL, instead it converts install scripts (preinst, postinst, prerm, postrm) of the original .deb package to a proper .INSTALL file. Since .INSTALL is no more no less than a shell script, it is strongly recommended from now on (for security reasons) if this file has been generated to view its contents before saving the final package, and edit it if necessary.

It doesn't generate PKGBUILD files, but the packages themselves, however (as stated in FAQ Question #3) it can help in determining which are the right dependencies when someone wants to write a PKGBUILD and fill the dependencies/optional dependencies/etc arrays.

* Offline conversion is now possible, as long as you run "debtap -u" first with root privileges. This command updates pkgfile and debtap database and also downloads the latest AUR packages list.

* You can now convert packages that are not in the same path you are running debtap/debtap-p64. The converted package will be placed in the same path with the original .deb package. Example:

debtap /path/to/package.deb

I installed debtap-p64 and launched it as follows:

debtap-p64 -u

The response is:

Error: You must enable a multilib repository and then synchronize pacman database

I have verified that I do have a multilib repo and it has been synchronized several times.

I have the latest debtap-p64: 2.1-1

Any ideas?

Minor update 2.1.2

Changelog

* Now both "debtap -u" and "debtap-p64 -u" synchronize the same database (located in /var/cache/debtap), instead of having two seperate folders, in order to avoid having twice the same database and free space. If you have run "debtap-p64 -u" before upgrading to this version, just run the following, so that you are not forced to synchronize again:

# mv /var/cache/debtap-p64 /var/cache/debtap

That's because they don't have a functioning pkgfile, besides this is Arch Linux, not Manjaro, forums
