my first post here if not counting the intro and a couple of questions
I'm new to tiling wm's and found Awesome really Awesome but Lua is to hard for me so I'm switching to i3
anyways- here's my scrots
There's been some copying from other configs But now it looks and work like I want it to do
BTW In Awesome I had my ncmpcpp now playing in the top bar - is that possible in i3?
edit: found a solution
Don't be to hard on me please

Love relationship with Herbstluftwm. I've been without a panel for quite a while but I put it on just for the shot

mohmann, what's your DWM config/patches? Looks very nice!
These should be the patches i'm currently using:
monocle_borderless
scratchpad
centred-floating
trayer.patch
statuscolors
uselessgap
column_master
focusonclick
pertag
save_floats
zoomswap
viewontag
Additionally, I hand-patched some stuff regarding the tag layout in the upper left corner of the bar such as awesome-like (triangle) indicators and underlining of the active tags.
Config and other dwm-related stuff can be found in my github repo: https://github.com/martinohmann/dwm (have to clean this up a little sometime, especially config.h)
May i ask you what's the name of that gorgeous font?
The font is called ohsnap/ohsnap.icons and can be found in the AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ohsnap/

After doing a reinstall last month because of being flustered and dumb, what losing most of your sleep trying to fix the thing does to 'ya, I went ahead and went all out with customizing the MATE desktop. The mods are listed below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>Menu: MATE Main Menu and TopMenu global menus.
>Task management: Plank dock.
>Terminal: Guake.
>PS1: '\[\e[1;32m\]\@ \[\e[1;34m\]\u\[\e[m\] \[\e[1;34m\]\w\[\e[m\]
\[\e[1;32m\] ┗─╸>>\[\e[m\] \[\e[1;37m\]'
>System info: Green-colored Archey3.
>Compositor: Compton.
>Theme: homebrew theme using a grayish-scheme Clearlooks for a base with eOS window borders and Faenza-Cupertino icons, named 'eOS Custom.'

PS: I didn't really think the hostname and username through, it came from being a creative person who's good at working with chalk, so there. In addition, by pleasant surprise, -mainline runs great on my system so far.

I'm trying to figure out why CDE doesn't work on 64 bit Linux.
