[Solved]Hp printer setup

Hello,
I have an old Hp printer(deskjet 3840 series) which recognized automatically in ubuntu, but in arch linux doesn't. It appears in lsusb:
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 03f0:7504 Hewlett-Packard Printing Support
but I have no option to add it in cups, and doesn't recognized in hplip.
Please help me to configure it.

Re: [Solved]Hp printer setup

What software's did you use in Ubuntu? We might have them in our repository or at least in the aur repository - have you tried system-config-printer?

Re: [Solved]Hp printer setup

I just tried, it doesn't find my printer. Also I tride hp-setup once more after disconect/connect printer' s usb cable and it founds it this time, but I get an error in the end:
error: Printer queue setup failed. Error : successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes

EDIT:
I forgot to run hp-setup  with sudo. Now it's added.

Re: [Solved]Hp printer setup

I am still having issues. Do you think one of these installed packages could be conflicting with hplip or cups?

pacman -Q | grep hplip

hplip 3.15.9-2
hplip-plugin 3.15.9-2

pacman -Q | grep cups

cups 2.1.0-1

Thank you.

This is called thread hijacking; please start a new thread detailing your problems and things that you have tried (what "issues"? what makes you think that there could be a "conflict"?).
I'm surprised that someone even replied, since this thread is marked as solved!
