netctl stopped working after kernel 5.3.1

Hi,

after installing the latest kernel 5.3.1, my static ip config with netctl stopped working with timeout error. It was perfectly working before reboot.
Using NetworkManager it is working.
Not looking particularly for a solution, because it is working right now.
Just FYI if it is a wide issue. Or it could be just something with my specific configuration.

Don't remember my previous kernel version.

[anca:~] % uname -a
Linux mainpc 5.3.1-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Sep 21 11:33:49 UTC 2019 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[anca:~] % netctl --version
netctl version 1.20
[anca:~] % nmcli --version
nmcli tool, version 1.20.4-1

Please do not post issues you do not wish to resolve.

You can find the system's package history in /var/log/pacman.log

Re: netctl stopped working after kernel 5.3.1

I had a similar experience after upgrading to the 5.3.1 kernel. The solution in my case was to add timeout values to my netctl configuration per the instructions here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … out_issues
