Pamac wont update packages

Hey guys, last week I finally installed arch linux on my PC, and to make things easier I installed Pamac to download my apps. It works and it works great, installed all my apps and games, everything is working fine, the problem is with updates, today I turned on my computer and a notification appeared from pamac saying that I have 70 packages to update, no problem, I clicked update, but it does nothing, it goes like this:

synchronizing package databases...
there is nothing to do
transaction completed
(closes)

but the updates are still there for me to click apply, does anyone know what's happening? I tried to update from the terminal using pacman but it gives me the same output, is Pamac just glitched and showing me updates that don't exist or is something wrong with my system?

Please post the pacman command you executed that fails and its full output.

If you are new to Arch, why would you go against these two crystal clear advisories?

I've never even seen those warnings lol

Re: Pamac wont update packages

Anyway I restarted the system and the updates are gone, all I know is that Pamac is working fine and installing packages with no issue so I'm happy.

The OP indicated that pacman finished successfully with the output "there is nothing to do". And pamac is instead giving ghost output.

If it happens again, try looking at the list of updates pamac thinks is there. Hopefully it will list the old and new versions. Double-check which versions are installed already, and which versions are listed on https://www.archlinux.org/packages/

Getting too dependent on code tags.
