[SOLVED] Unable to connect to Web Sites when connected to PIA VPN

I've been using Private Internet Access (PIA) VPN client without problems for about three years

However from Saturday morning (09/09/2023) once I'm connected via their VPN client I cannot then connect to any websites. I get the unable to connect page and the wait or check your internet connection,

When not connected to the VPN client all works correctly

I've tried both protocols in the client, OpenVPN and Wireguard. I've tried all the DNS settings and all the port settings. Nothing works

I've uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed, rebooted and still it doesn't work.

I'm on a fully up to date Arch install running KDE.

The PIA support team appear to be next to useless.

Anyone got any ideas.

Is /etc/iproute2/rt_tables missing?

Thanks for this as this was my problem. (Obviously my forum searching skills need honing)

I just overwrote the rt_tables file with the pacsave one and it fixed my problem. The pacsave one was identical apart from having these additional PIA lines:

256     piavpnrt
257     piavpnOnlyrt
258     piavpnWgrt
259     piavpnFwdrt

Had the same issue, thanks for the help! I also needed to add the same lines to rt_tables
