I try to have no password for samba and this is what i get
smbmnt must be installed suid root for direct user mounts (1000,1000)
How do i install smbmnt suid?
Well, I have a couple of questions...
first. what do you want to have no password...the samba user, a share you are trying to make public....
second. are you using a standard install or have you made a custom package.
From the looks of the error it looks like you are trying to mount a windows share on a linux box as a standard user.... is this true?
I found the following suggestion for your situation
>If you *really* want this, do
>chown root smbmnt; chmod u+s smbmnt
