Hi all, my first attempt on a laptop (X61), trying to get wireless working.
Following the wiki, i got stuck at this point:
# ifconfig wlan0 up
SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device.
here is some more info:
ifconfig wlan0

Ok, so what are my options? use another kernel? if so then how?

Use the compat-wireless driver from AUR. I have the same wireless card and it also didn't work with kernel 2.6.25. After I installes the compat-wireless package (I had to use the one from May 26th) it worked flawless!
So you might want to check it out....
